Light Language symbols are the lines, dots, curves, and other visual codes that come through in written Light Language.
Unlike an alphabet, they don’t necessarily have fixed translations. I don’t consciously choose a particular symbol because I know it means a particular thing. They are received intuitively.
Light Language symbols are often seen in Light Language Art.
A piece of Light Language Art can contain individual symbols alongside geometry, color, recognizable imagery, and abstract forms. The symbols are part of the artwork, but they aren’t the whole artwork.
I use “symbol” and “code” interchangeably throughout this article.
Light Language Symbols vs. Sacred Geometry
Sacred geometry can also be understood as a form of Light Language. The main distinction is that sacred geometry generally follows universal templates.
The Flower of Life, for example, has a specific geometric construction. Its circles relate to one another in a particular way. Change that structure and it is no longer the Flower of Life.
Light Language symbols can be much more free flow and individually received.
Yet the two can share the same basic visual elements: circles, triangles, repetition, and symmetry.
While sacred geometry can be a part of light language art, a light language art isn’t necessarily a sacred geometry.
Inside One of My Light Language Artworks
At the top of this artwork is a five-pointed star surrounded by a circle. More circles repeat through the center.
These are geometric forms.
Inside the circles are small red and blue marks that look like ancient codes.
Those are Light Language symbols.
There are also dots and lines. Sometimes they form part of an individual symbol; sometimes they’re simply part of the wider artwork.
And then there are the wings.
They’re not Light Language symbols.
They’re wings.
I saw them during prayer and meditation, so I drew them. As I continued, the word chakra came through, which is where the seven circles entered the piece. The rest unfolded intuitively.
So within one Light Language artwork, you can have geometry, written Light Language symbols, recognizable imagery, and abstract visual elements existing together.
The symbols are symbols. The wings are wings.
Together, they become the artwork.
Do These Symbols Have Meanings?
Sometimes, I may understand what a symbol or artwork is connected to before I begin, while I’m creating it, or much later.
Other times, I never receive an intellectual meaning for it at all.
I don’t believe that makes the symbol incomplete.
Light Language doesn’t need to be translated into ordinary language before it can be received. Instead of trying to decode every mark, I pay attention to my experience of it.
Do I feel more peaceful? Energized? Clearer? Did something subtly shift?
Sometimes that’s all the understanding I need.
How Can You Work With These Codes?
Keep it simple.
If a Light Language artwork resonates with you, save or screenshot it and spend some time with it without trying to decipher every mark.
You might meditate or journal with it, keep it on your phone, or place it somewhere you’ll see it.
That’s how I often work with my own art. I might keep a piece on my phone or hang it on my wall for a week. I tend to work with one artwork at a time, allowing it to be present without constantly trying to figure it out.
Notice what you feel and what comes through.
