Public Priestess vs Private Priestess: There Is No Right Way to Walk the Path

One of the biggest misconceptions about the priestess path is that it must be public. Many people imagine a priestess as someone standing on a stage, leading ceremonies, teaching classes, hosting retreats, or sharing spiritual wisdom online. And while those can absolutely be expressions of the priestess path, they are not the only expressions.

Not every priestess is meant to have a public platform. Not every priestess is meant to become a teacher. Not every priestess is meant to build a business around her gifts. The priestess path is far more diverse than that.

The Public Priestess

A public priestess is someone whose path naturally involves visibility. She may be a healer, coach, teacher, mentor, facilitator, artist, writer, speaker, or guide. Her work is meant to be shared. Part of her service involves allowing herself to be seen. She creates offerings. She gathers people. She shares messages. She becomes a visible expression of her calling.

For some women, this feels exciting. For others, it feels terrifying. Yet if visibility is part of their path, life often keeps nudging them toward it. The invitations keep appearing. The ideas keep arriving. The calling keeps returning. Not because they need to become someone else. But because something within them is asking to be expressed.

The Private Priestess

The mistake many people make is assuming public service is somehow more valuable than private service. It isn’t.

A woman tending a beautiful garden can be a priestess. A mother raising her children with love can be a priestess. Someone who quietly brings kindness and presence into her community can be a priestess. A woman who creates beauty, holds space for friends, volunteers, or simply chooses to live from her heart can be a priestess.

The priestess path does not require an audience. It requires devotion. Some of the most powerful priestesses may never have a social media account. Their service is simply expressed differently.

The Question Is Not “Which Is Better?”

The question is: which one is true for you? Many people force themselves toward visibility because they think they should. Others avoid it because they are afraid. Neither approach is rooted in truth.

The invitation is to listen. To become honest. To notice what your soul is asking of you. Your path may be deeply public. It may be deeply private. It may shift throughout different seasons of your life. There is no hierarchy. There is only alignment.

The Priestess Creates Her Own Path

We are often taught to look for examples. To find someone successful and copy what they are doing. To follow the blueprint. To follow the steps. To find the proven formula. But the priestess path is not about becoming a copy. It is about becoming more fully yourself.

Perhaps your path looks nothing like the people you admire. Perhaps your service takes a form that nobody around you understands. Perhaps your contribution is quieter than what social media celebrates. That does not make it less sacred. The priestess honors her own path. Even when it looks different. Especially when it looks different.

A Path of Remembrance

At its heart, the priestess path is not about choosing between public or private. It is about remembering who you are. The form is secondary. The essence comes first.

Whether you are called to speak on stages or tend a rose garden. Whether you are called to teach thousands or nurture a handful of people. Whether your service is visible or unseen. Your path matters. Your expression matters. And your way of serving the Divine is allowed to be uniquely yours.
