3 Different Types of Light Language

One of the biggest misconceptions about light language is that people think it only comes through speaking.

You might hear someone channeling sounds, syllables, or tones and assume that’s what light language is supposed to look like. But spoken light language is only one form of expression.

If you’ve read my article on what light language is, you’ll know that I define it very simply: light language is energy transmission. It is a way of channeling energy, receiving information, and expressing divine frequencies through whatever form feels most natural to you.

Just as there are many ways to create art, there are many ways to express light language. While there are endless variations, I generally work with three main types:

  • Spoken Light Language
  • Written Light Language
  • Hand Light Language

Let’s explore each one.

1. Spoken Light Language

This is probably the form most people are familiar with. Spoken light language is expressed through the voice — it may sound like words, sounds, tones, syllables, chanting, humming, singing, or a language you’ve never heard before. For some people, it comes through softly and gently. For others, it can be powerful, rhythmic, emotional, or melodic.

The specific sounds are less important than the energy being transmitted through them. Because light language exists before it is translated into human language, it often bypasses the mind and communicates directly with the deeper aspects of your being. This is why many people feel emotional, peaceful, activated, or deeply moved even when they have no idea what is being said. The voice simply becomes the instrument through which the energy is expressed.

2. Written Light Language

Written light language is one of my favorite forms because it combines energy with creativity. Instead of coming through the voice, the transmission comes through symbols, drawings, sigils, sacred geometry, or other forms placed onto paper. Sometimes people refer to this as light language art.

For me, written light language often appears as symbols, shapes, and energetic patterns that I see internally before drawing them. Other times, the symbols simply flow through without needing to understand what they mean.

One thing I always remind my students: written light language is not about creating beautiful art. It is not about making something perfect or drawing like someone else. The purpose is energy transmission. The value of the piece is not found in how it looks — it’s found in the energy embedded within it.

Every line, symbol, shape, and stroke carries a frequency. As the transmission moves through the drawing process, that energy becomes encoded into the artwork itself. This is why some people choose to meditate with light language art, place it on their altar, display it in their home, or simply spend time sitting with it — they are connecting with the energy held within the transmission.

3. Hand Light Language

The third type is hand light language. You may have seen people moving their hands during energy healing sessions, activations, or channeling work — this is often what I’m referring to. Rather than expressing the transmission through the voice or drawings, the energy is expressed through movement.

Sometimes the movements are small and precise. Sometimes they are large and flowing. For some people, the movement naturally expands beyond the hands to include the entire body. The movements may appear spontaneous, but many channelers experience them as guided.

Just as written light language places symbols onto paper, hand light language often feels like drawing symbols, patterns, or energetic codes directly into the field around someone. The hands become the tool through which the energy is transmitted.

Which Type of Light Language Is Strongest?

One of the questions I hear most often is: “Which type of light language should I focus on?”

The answer is simple — start with the one that feels most natural. Some people naturally begin speaking. Others find themselves drawing symbols before they ever speak a single syllable. Some discover their hands begin moving during meditation, healing work, or energy practices.

There is no hierarchy. One form is not better than another. They are simply different ways of expressing the same energy.

Can You Combine Different Types of Light Language?

Absolutely — and in fact, many people eventually do. When I channel, I often combine spoken light language with hand light language. Someone else may combine written light language with spoken transmissions. Others move between all three depending on what is being expressed.

Think of it like being a musician who can play multiple instruments. The energy remains the same. Only the method of expression changes.

Your Light Language Will Look Different Than Mine

This is perhaps the most important thing to remember. Your light language is not supposed to sound like mine, look like mine, or move like mine. Your light language carries your unique soul essence.

Just as every artist develops their own style, every channel develops their own expression. The goal is not imitation — it’s remembrance. The more you trust yourself, the more your own unique expression begins to emerge.

Exploring Your Own Light Language

One of the biggest myths about light language is that you have to learn it from scratch. In my experience, it’s less about learning and more about remembering.

Some people naturally begin with spoken light language. Others discover written symbols flowing through them before they ever speak a sound. Others find their hands moving during meditation or energy work without understanding why. There is no right or wrong place to begin.

The question is not whether you have access to light language. The question is: which expression is already trying to emerge through you?
